Dr. Ennis-Cole- Parent Online Survey
I am a researcher at The University of North Texas, and I'am also the mother of an 8 year-old who is in the Autism Spectrum. Life with my son has been filled with many challenges and opportunities. My husband and I work hard each day to meet the challenges we face,and we do our best. The more I read theliterature, the more I think more research is needed on parents of children wit Autism. The collective voice of parents needs to be heard and understood. Teachers, doctors, therapists, and others working with our special children need to hear, understand, and respect the opinions, thoughts, and input of parents. We know our children best. We've studied them, prayed for them, worked hard to help them, and most importantly, we love them and have their very best interest at heart. In effort to capture the collective voice of parents, I created an onliine survey. Would you assist me by posting the link to my survey and inviting parents and care givers of children wit Autism Spectrum Disorders to complete the survey? Individual privacy will be protected, no individual responses will be identified, and all collected data will be aggregated. This survey and research has been approved by the University of North Texas IRB, and I have taken the necessary precautions to protect the rights of human subjects. Once I have responses, I can send you the findings. Thanks for your consideration.
