The day treatment programs at One for Autism are devoted to ensure that children with autism and developmental delays continue to increase skills in language and social skills as well as reading, writing, and mathematics. We use empirical methods such as modeling, prompting, shaping, and behavioral momentum, in conjunction with positive reinforcement, to establish skills in a structured environment that are then practiced in the community. Our low student-to-teacher ratio and our ability to control the environment allow us to manipulate elements that can improve skill acquisition.
The program is a collaborative effort with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, special education curriculum specialist, behavioral therapists, Board Certified Music Therapist, music teacher, occupational and speech therapists, Speech Pathologist, and Play Therapist. Together we work to the best of our abilities to provide a comprehensive program aimed, at enhancing language and communication, social, play, academic and independent skills.

Monday - Friday from 12:45 p.m.- 4:45 p.m.

Pre-k thru 3rd grade placement:

* There is a $25.00/ holding fee to reserve a spot for the summer program which will be applied to first month tuition
The children will recieve 5 hours a week of ABA/ discrete trial therapy along with the other therapies.
* If your child is in our day treatment programs the following does not apply:
June 9th-July 3rd - 1st month
July 7th - August 1st - 2nd month
August 4th - 22nd - Prorated 3rd month

Handwriting Without Tears Camp
Handwriting Without Tears® is a proven success in making legible and fluent handwriting an easy and automatic skill for all students. HWT uses fun, entertaining, and educationally sound instructional methods to teach handwriting to all students: pre-k through cursive. The well-planned lessons require minimal preparation time. Thousands of administrators, teachers, therapists, and parents across the country have successfully implemented the program. The end result is truly handwriting without tears for all! The summer program will be lead by Mrs. Silva, who is level 1 Certified.
This camp is designed for children that need help in handwriting. The camp will be broken down in two sections : 5 weeks - Pre-k level and 5 weeks -Kindergarten level. If you would like to learn more log on: www.hwtears.com
Social Skills Camp
In our social skills camp the children will learn about emotions, social skills, team building and cooperative play with their peers. It is a fun filled camp full of activities in twenty minute increments. There will be a preliminary assessment before the camp begins. Ages vary from pre-k to elementary level.
